Why We Built the FFS Finesse Jig Head
Sometimes the most important improvements are the simplest ones.
We've spent enough time on the water to know how frustrating it is when a plastic slides down the hook, a crawler won't stay pinned, or you spend more time adjusting your bait than actually fishing.
The FFS Finesse Jig Head reflects our approach to tackle development: pay attention to the details that matter, solve practical problems, and make products that earn their place in the boat.
Because better tackle doesn't always mean more complicated tackle.
How to Fish the FFS Finesse Jig Head
With Soft Plastic Swimbaits: Rig a Raddletail paddle tail swimbait straight on the double wire keeper. Cast, retrieve, hop, or jig the bait depending on fish location and activity.
With Live Nightcrawlers: Thread the crawler onto the jig and secure it against the keeper. Fish it slowly above suspended walleye or along bottom when fish prefer a natural live bait presentation.
Choosing Jig Weight: Lighter weights can help slow the fall and retrieve, while heavier weights offer additional depth control in current, wind, or faster presentations. Choose based on the bait, line diameter, and conditions rather than depth alone.
